As can be seen below, Cambodia only had one set of stamps issued in 2002. According to the Philately Department of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in Phnom Penh, this was because stamps up until 2002 had been developed under a contract with Cuba. As from 2002, Cambodia was solely responsible for the development of new stamps, which is the case up to the present day, with the printing of stamps since 2002 being undertaken in Vietnam.

This set of stamps was issued to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of ASEAN Post during the 9th ASEAN Postal Meeting held on July 9, 2002, in Siem Reap - Angkor.
